The Monkmoor Community Fun Day held at Monkmoor Court, Oswestry on Friday 30 April brought both the local community and other organisations together to help support Oswestry’s Food Bank.
A total of £223.50 was raised at the event along with a box of food which people donated at the event.
The Community Fun Day included a variety of activities for all ages, including name the teddy, clothes swap, bingo, tombola stall, jewellery stall, tuck shop, and lots more. The event also provided an opportunity for people to receive health, financial and transport advice.

Sue Adams, Managing Director for Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing, said:
“I am delighted that we have managed to raise over £200 to support a very worthy cause. As well as bringing local people and organisations together to help vulnerable people, the event was a great way to get the local community together to socialise and have fun.”
