West Felton Youth Club have been £700 Community Chest Funding.
The money will be used to pay for the use of the village hall as a venue for their activities, the young people of West Felton will therefore continue to have a place to go to have fun as well as complete workshops and alcohol awareness events.
In April 2018, the West Felton Youth Club asked STAR Housing for the funds to pay for the premises so that it can use all of the money raised from the tuck shop and on the door to fund activities for the young people. Around 30-35 young people attend the youth club for each session and STAR Housing is committed to ‘creating vibrant communities’ which young people are central to, so any opportunity to keep them safer and more united is taken.
